Customers travel on scheduled day tours or extended tours for 2, 3 or 4 days sailing the Whitsunday Islands. We tailor make private charters for groups, from educational excursions for school / university groups, to weddings, to corporate team building sailing events.

Explore Whitsundays and operating company partners believe that the delivery of quality experiences, across a broad range of segments from Backpackers and Flashpackers to the Deluxe market is paramount to the on-going success of the Whitsunday Tourism Industry.

We are actively involved in the development, promotion and growth of the tourism industry, including Board roles of the Whitsunday Charter Boat Industry Association (WCBIA), plus Chairman role with Tourism Whitsundays.

Further, and most importantly we remain very active in the day to day operations including: doing administration; providing agent training and speaking with our customers.

Operational crews are trained to meet both safety and guest service expectations and stand ready to ensure that the customers tour is memorable and a highlight of their travel experiences in Australia.

We fully support the endeavours of Eco Tourism and promote Eco Tourism Practices, including education of crew and guests.  To help with the management of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, we perform weekly water quality monitoring and forward the data to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.  In August, 2014 and again in October 2015, we hosted a Dive Research Team from Reef Check Australia, this group collects data on coral health from Blue Pearl Bay in the Whitsundays. In 2017 the CSIRO installed water quality monitoring equipment on our Tall Ship Solway Lass. In 2018 we have been actively involved in the development of Underwater Artworks project in the Whitsundays, including taking scientists for site inspections.

One of our Directors is on the Management Committee for the Mackay Whitsundays Healthy Rivers to Reef Project since inception in 2014 as we work to build broad ranging community support to implement change which leads to improved and innovative practices that sees less nutrients, sediments and rubbish enter the rivers that flow into the waters of the Great Barrier Reef (GBR).
