Calling All Pirates!
Calling all Pirates to the top deck to help set sail on the high seas. You are invited on board Solway Lass for a fun-filled day for the whole family whatever your age – 3yrs to 103yrs.
Help hoist the sails on this 118-year-old majestic tall ship as we set sail for treasure island (also known by the locals as Black Island).
On top of snorkelling, paddle boarding, Tarzan rope swinging and swimming, we will also have a real treasure hunt. There will also be bountifully food and a best-dressed Pirate competition and Pirate games.
And for Pirate parents we haven’t forgotten about you, we have a fully stocked bar on board.
Make your own way to Coral Sea Marina South (Meeting Point C) for a 7.15 am check-in. Solway Lass will depart at 8.00 am.
Set sail for Treasure Island (Also known to the locals as Black Island) located at the Northern end of the Whitsundays on Solway Lass. Help hoist the sails as you experience the old world charm of the 118-year-old tall ship.
You’ll have up to 3.5 hours on the beach or in the water to enjoy the Northern end of the Whitsundays. On top of snorkelling, paddle boarding, swimming, jumping off the Tarzan rope swing. There is also a real treasure hunt, a best-dressed Pirate competition and Pirate games.
Enjoy lunch on the beach, before it’s time to head to a snorkelling spot somewhere in the Northern end of the Whitsunday Islands. Your skipper, with their knowledge and experience behind them, will select the bay that will provide the clearest waters and most abundant marine life on the day. Jump in and meet the locals – bright colourful fish and maybe a turtle if you’re lucky!
After exploring all that’s on offer in the Whitsundays, you’ll have one more chance to take in the scenery as you sail back to the marina, arriving at around 5.30 pm.
Bountifully food including a picnic lunch, morning, and afternoon tea. Tea and Coffee available all day, Solway Lass also has a licensed bar.
The meals offers you a chance to refuel during your day of fun activities and action-packed exploring. Plus, morning and afternoon snacks to top up the energy levels in between fun activities.
Services of the skipper and crew, Tallship Sailing, all meals and snacks, tap water, tea and coffee, snorkelling equipment and basic tuition, stand-up paddleboards, stinger suits, Tarzan rope swing, National/Marine Park fees, and marina levies.
And for the Pirates – A real treasure hunt, best-dressed Pirate competition, and Pirate games.
Solway Lass has a fully licensed bar with alcoholic drinks, bottled water, and soft drinks sold at reasonable prices. Accounts can be paid at the end of the trip, using Cash, Visa, Mastercard, or EFTPOS. Complimentary chilled tap water, tea, and coffee are available at all times
Please pack in a small soft-sided bag. No hard/suitcases or large backpacks. We do not have luggage storage.
What to bring: beach towel/sarong, hat, swimwear, sunscreen, jacket/sweater in winter, camera, sunglasses, light footwear for island walks, cash for drink purchases.
