About Southern Cross Sailing Adventures

Since 1985 we have been proudly Sailing the Whitsundays and today our different tours cater to a range of customers.

The owners believe that the delivery of quality experiences, across a broad range of segments is paramount to the on-going success and growth of the Whitsunday Tourism Industry.

We are actively involved in the development, promotion and growth of the tourism industry, including board position for the Whitsunday Charter Boat Industry Association (WCBIA), plus Chairman of Tourism Whitsundays since 2016. In October 2014, one of our Directors was awarded with the prestigious Whitsunday accolade of “Outstanding Contribution by an Individual” to Tourism.

We are proud of the team who work with us to deliver the best possible Whitsunday Sailing experience.

We also fully support the endeavours of Eco Tourism and promote Eco Tourism Practices, including education of crew and guests. We are active in campaigns to ensure that the Great Barrier Reef is protected for future generations, including sending selected staff for training so as they can complete Eye on the Reef Surveys which are forwarded to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. These surveys provide vital information on the health of our coral reefs which scientists and management use. Since 2018 we have been working with Reef Ecologic for the development of underwater artworks and coral restoration projects around the Whitsundays.

In June 2016, we were presented with the ECO Certified Green Travel Leader badge.
