Great Barrier Heart Reef
Heart Reef is a naturally formed reef, 40 kilometres from Airlie Beach.
Best seen from the air by plane or helicopter it holds a special place amongst the 2,900 individual reefs that make up the Great Barrier Reef.
Cherished by Honeymoons and romantics at heart, it brings a smile to your face as soon as it comes into view. The most popular visiting day each year as you can imagine is Valentine’s Day. Lovers young and old seek out a glimpse of the reef as a way to connect with their loved one.
It is now high on the list of many people’s Australian bucket list and is well worth the trip.
