The Airlie Beach Lagoon is situated right in the heart of Airlie Beach and has become a focal point and favourite local hang out. The Airlie Beach Lagoon opened in early 2001 and has remained admission free since its opening. This means it’s a great way to go spend time in the sun and stinger-free waters.
You can find the Airlie Beach Lagoon as you driving into town by taking the first left at the first roundabout and staying on the main road through town. The lagoon will be on the left (water) side of the road.
The lagoon is surrounded by a grassy park and landscaped gardens and also provides BBQ facilities and a car park for your enjoyment and ease of use. There is a children’s pool located at one end and a sandy beach at the other.
The Airlie Beach Lagoon is staffed by a lifeguard from 5:30am – 7pm from June-August, and from 5:30am – 9pm the rest of the year.
